Artist's Comments

The final (or is it ? *tam tam taam*... ) model of my Epsilon Concept. I noticed I haven't been updating much here and since the last time I've been to two exhibitions, one of them was a car design conference where I presented some of my work, among which was this. It didn't win the competition, but I think it's because it was too 'down to Earth' and not very groundbreaking in terms of design, whereas in the real world it would be a wonderful thing to build and drive.

some of the features include small size, good for urban dwellers, yet a wheelbase wide and long enough for higher speeds, scissor doors that swivel around the front wheel arch (not shown, future updates), 4 wheel drive dual electric engine, LED illumination, charging by wire , solar panels for auxiliary systems such as radio and/or powered windows, carbon fiber elements for weight reduction, efficient internal airflow redirection (which possibly might add some stability at higher speed), convex rim covers + high thread for improved aerodynamics, and a very sexy ass

It was a result of about 3-5 months of research into various technologies and components required for manufacture, so there's a lot more than I'd be willing to type out here, so, I just hope you like the design =)

^^ thank you. The lines in the M.VI mostly came out of the feeling I got when I was doing the clay model, I couldn't believe how much feedback you actually get from working on the physical model, ignorance mostly fueled by never having tried it. There are still some obvious areas to repair on this one, but at least the design is finalized and the next 3d iteration, if I ever do one should indeed be perfect ^^ thanks for the comment

what program did you use?
:iconobeah:
It was done in 3D studio MAX 7.1 with Vray render and a little touch up in Photoshop :)
